The smartphone would be available at selected stores and Porsche Design outlets beginning the month of October.
Although, the pricing has not been announced as yet, it’s quite unlikely the smartphone would be cheap. Its predecessors were the Porsche Design P’9981 and the Porsche Design P’9982.
Its main point of attraction is the exclusive Porsche Design PIN that would be provided to each customer. Other than that, the camera lens is made of sapphire glass and the frame has been designed using special glass weave technology. The keys are glass-like and carry a 3D effect highlighting silver font characters.
The smartphone features an HD touch screen of 3.1-inches and an 8 MP rear camera. It also has a 2 MP front facing camera onboard. It is powered by a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz coupled with 2GB RAM. The inbuilt storage capacity is 64 GB and can further be extended to 128 GB using microSD card. The handset packs a 2100 mAh battery and supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Micro HDMI, 4G LTE, NFC, A-GPS GLONASS and FM radio connectivity options.
The device runs the Blackberry 10.3 OS and comes with finely crafted Italian leather back cover that comes in varied colors including Blue Green, Pomegranate, Yellow, Dark Brown, Blue, Orange and Paloma Grey.
The smartphone measures 119 x 67.1 x 10.6 mm and weighs 140 grams.
