Japanese handset manufacturer, Sony has listed itself as one of the first company to have introduced two smartphones of the same series this year- Xperia Z2 and Z3 in February and September respectively. This October, the so called specifications of Sony Xperia Z4 have been revealed.
Sources suggest that going forward Sony would be launching just one flagship in a year instead of two putting an end to the trend that started last year with the release of Xperia Z. Possibly because lack of major upgrades that can be added in just six months.
Most probably, the device would hit the market by March 2015.
The smartphone would be powered by a 2.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor with Adreno 430 Graphics unit. The internal storage capacity would be 32GB along with 4GB RAM. The smartphone would support LTE Cat 6 and Bluetooth v4.1.
Screen size has been reported to be 5.5 inches with QHD display and a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The sensor would see an upgrade from IMX220 20.7 MP that started with Xperia Z1, to curved Exmor RS CMOS with same resolution. A devoted amplifier has been added to enhance sound quality.
Price in India:
If rumours are to be the Sony Xperia Z4 could possibly be priced at somewhere around $1250 (Rs. 75,000).
