HTC Google Nexus 9 tablet with Lollipop Android launched at $399

HTC Google Nexus 9 tabletGoogle joined hands with HTC to introduce its latest tablet called the Nexus 9. Its design is sleek and sturdy with thin metal frame and soft grip making it comfortable to hold and use.

Nexus 9 is powered by the newest operating system, Android 5.0 Lollipop which has been termed as its “sweetest release yet” by Google. The Company claims, Nexus devices would be the first to get the latest updates, thereby providing a superior software experience.

Release date and Price:
The tablet can be pre-booked starting October 17th and would be made available for purchase starting November 9. The 16GB Wi-Fi model has been priced at $399 (approx. Rs. 24,500) whereas the 32GB Wi-Fi model would be available at $479 (approx. Rs. 29,500). The Nexus 9 32GB LTE model that connects with penta-band HSPA+ and quad-band GSM/ EDGE has been priced at $599 (approx. Rs. 37,000).

Battery and Processor:
The Nexus 9 packs a powerful 6700 mAh battery that can support up to 9.5 hours of browsing, 9.5 hours of video playback and idle time of 30 days. It houses a 2.3 GHz Tegra K1 processor with 64-bit NVIDIA CPU and 2GB RAM.

Display and Camera:
The tablet sports an 8.9-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and it’s made up of Gorilla glass. The rear camera quality is 8MP with LED flash and f/2.4 aperture. The front-facing camera is 1.6 MP.

The Nexus 9 supports Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack and Micro-USB. It comes with HTC’s Boomsound and twin front-facing speakers. Various sensors include accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor and magnetometer.
