Microsoft is all set to introduce the HP Stream Laptop carrying Windows 8.1 at a price of $199. With this launch, the Company is aiming to contest with the major occupiers of cloud storage market share. They have lowered down the cost of operating system to make their products more competitive.
Chromebook 14 offers 100 GB of Cloud storage space for 2 years whereas the Stream would provide 100 GB of Microsoft’s One Drive storage space. At present, the cost of 100GB of storage is $1.99 per month equivalent to $50 for 2 years. However, each company is happy to bear the cost in order to sell their platforms.
This move certainly drives one to think that there would be no charge of using Cloud storage in future. Given the fact, all companies want to be the first in terms of consumer’s choice.
The dimensions of the laptop are 13.5 x 9.5 x 0.7 inches and the screen size is 14 inches along with 1366 x 768 resolution. Its weight is 3.86 pounds. It would contain 3 USB ports and 4 speakers powered by Beats audio feature.
As per recent reviews, The HP stream would comprise of 32 GB or 64 GB of storage capacity, however the deal indeed becomes better as it has 100 GB of cloud storage attached to it.
