LG brings in its first ever flip phone, the Wine smart made exclusively for the elderly Korean consumers and is categorized in the mid-range smartphone band as per the Company. The company has not declared the pricing structure and availability of the smartphone as of yet.
Notably, the smartphone has been designed with Korean features, therefore, it seems as if it would not be declared for sale outside Korea.
The Wine Smart (LG-F480) features ‘Safe Keeper’ function which sends information regarding location etc. to those assigned by the user in case of non-usability for a period of time.
It is based on the Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and sports a 3.5-inch touchscreen with IPS WVGA (320 x 480) display. It packs a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM.
The rear camera quality is 8 MP with LED flash and the flip phone also has a 0.3 MP front-facing camera onboard. It carries a detachable battery of 1700 mAh capacity. The internal storage capacity is 4GB and is further expandable.
The various connectivity options include Bluetooth, LTE, Wi-FI, Micro-USB and FM radio. The dimensions of the smartphone are 118.6 x 59.4 x 16.9 mm.
