Microsoft’s newest budget phone Lumia 530 based on Windows 8.1 has been first introduced in China at CNY 599 which is approximately Rs. 5,900. When Microsoft unveiled Lumia 530 last month, they announced it will be made available at selected stores from the month of August.
Lumia 530 comes in two varieties namely single SIM and dual SIM. The functionality remains the same except the dual SIM support. The colour options available are Bright Green, Bright Orange, White and Dark Grey. Both the single and dual SIM variants can carry Micro-SIM cards.
Price in India:
Microsoft declared the price to be EUR 85 which is approximately Rs. 6,900 excluding taxes and subsidies. Soon, the dual SIM variant will be launched in India as the phone is now listed on the official Nokia India website.
Lumia 530 sports a 4-inch FWVGA (480 x 854 pixels) LCD display with pixel density of 246 ppi. It houses a 1.2 GHz Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor coupled with 512 MB of RAM. The rear camera quality is 5-megapixel and the phone has pre-installed digital camera features like Bing Vision, Nokia Glam-me and Nokia Camera.
The internal storage capacity is 4GB which can further be enhanced to 128 GB using microSD card. The smartphone offers 15GB of Cloud storage space free of cost similar to other Lumia phones. The weight of the handset is 128 grams and it’s dimensions are 119.7 x 62.3 x 11.7 mm.
Battery life and connectivity:
Lumia 530 contains 1430 mAh battery which can support a maximum of 10 hours of talk time and 528 hours of standby time. The connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS, Bluetooth and Micro-USB.
