Samsung has cut down the price of Galaxy K zoom in India by Rs. 10,000. It was earlier available at Rs. 29,999 and can now be bought at Rs. 19,999 as confirmed by Amazon India, the sole online retailer of the smartphone. However, the offer is for a limited period of time.
The Galaxy K zoom which is the camera variant of Galaxy S5 was introduced last month via Amazon India. Prior to this, Samsung had brought in the Galaxy S4 Zoom which was its first camera-specialized smartphone.
The Company had earlier reduced the rates of Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note 3 Neo in India.
The smartphone boasts a 20.7 MP rear camera with BSI CMOS sensor and xenon flash. It also has the optical image stabilization (OIS) capability specifically suited for low light imaging. The rear camera is powered by 10x optical zoom and has certain advanced camera features like AF/ AE separation, Selfie alarm that helps in taking timed selfies and Pro-suggest mode that gives an option of choosing from amongst five optimized filter settings. The device also features a 2 MP front facing camera.
The Samsung Galaxy K zoom comes with a 4.8 inch screen coupled with Super Amoled HD display and screen resolution of 720 x 1280. It is based on the Android 4.4 KitKat OS and houses a hexa-core processor. The internal storage capacity is 8GB and can further be extended to 64 GB using microSD card. The capacity of RAM is 2MB and it packs a 2430 mAh battery.
Galaxy K zoom comes in two varieties namely the LTE and 3G and also supports Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, NFC and Bluetooth.
