Lava introduces the Iris X5- its latest budget smartphone to cater to the demands of the selfie-loving consumers. It would be available at Rs. 8,799 solely at Amazon India beginning Monday. However, the smartphone would be in-stock from Thursday.
Amazon India has made the deal more lucrative by offering freebies along with the smartphone including mobile cover, screen protector and 16GB microSD card valid only for the launch day.
The Lava Iris X5 flaunts a 5-inch HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It is based on the Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box OS. Lava has already introduced two smartphones running Android Kitkat including Magnum X604 and Iris 460.
The device sports an 8 MP rear camera coupled with Omni BSI sensor and dual-LED flash. The point of attraction of the smartphone is its 5 MP Autofocus front camera that comes with LED flash ideal for selfies.
It’s a dual-SIM phone (regular + micro SIM) and packs a quad core processor with a clock speed of 1.2GHz and 1 GB RAM. The internal storage capacity is 8GB that can be further extended to 32GB using microSD card. The various connectivity options include Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth and Micro USB. The capacity of its battery is 2100 mAh.

They endeavour to strengthen the mid- range smartphone portfolio to enable consumers get the best out of their device.
Some other phones marked as selfie-focussed include Sony Xperia C3 dual costing Rs. 23,990 and amongst the budget phones is the Karbonn Titanium S19 priced at Rs. 8,999.
